For the first time ever a party of children from the School – including’ three infants – attended the H.C.C. School Camp at Cuffley, led by Mrs. Burnie for the week following the Whitsun holiday.

The week was spent in learning camp craft and rural studies as well as enjoying the ‘great outdoors’ The remainder of the School visited the ‘Campers’ in their village on Wednesday afternoon and many then realised how much they had missed by not going.

The week’s camp culminated in a camp fire ceremony when each camp village sang a song of its own composition, and when everyone joined in various suitable part songs most notably led by Miss M. Pamphilon, the Assistant Warden.
