I believe that a relative, Nelly Brothers, lived in the left hand cottage prior to her death. I remember visiting her with my mother, Iris Gale (nee Sampson), about thirty years ago. My mother had a cousin, Jack Brothers, who lived with his wife just down the road in Abbottsfield, Wareside.

Emily Wren (my grandfathers aunt) was the mother of Nelly Brothers. Nelly lived in the same house as the photo until she died.
