My favourite place

 

My favourite place in Hertford is: Hartham Common

Hartham Common is a large park close to Hertford town centre. It has a large open grass area, tennis courts and two play areas for children. One of the play areas is for younger children and offers swings, a slide, a round –about , climbing frames and a sand pit. The other play area provides for older children a climbing wall and frames.  There is also a stream which can be crossed by two small bridges that leads to Bengeo.

Hartham Common is my favourite place in Hertford because on warm sunny days you can meet up with friends, play and have a picnic.  I love playing on the swings in the play area and on really hot days I  like to paddle in the stream.  The ice-cream kiosk also means I get to have a treat at the end of a fun day at Hartham Common.
