From Bristol to Ware

I came to live in Star Holme Court from Bristol in 2001 to be nearer my daughter who lives in Stapleford. The flats were built in 1986 and there is a mixture of younger and older residents there and a lot of comuters as it is close to the station.

I particularly enjoy living there as it is quiet and convenient for the town centre. Ware is a nice little town.

I drive a scooter around town which is easy as it is quite flat. In Ware there are a lot of old buildings which I can’t get into because of the steps but I can get around Tesco and Clinton Cards – though I don’t go in myself I see quite a few scooters outside the bookies!

I like going down by the river to look at all the birds and swans. I can get over the bridge as there is a slope onto the tow path though tree roots can be a bit of a problem. The properties that back onto the river are very attractive.

I keep myself busy as I have four great grandchilden: three live in Great Munden and one lives in Hereford. My great granddaughter was only 2lbs 3oz when she was born and was very poorly. Sienna-Lilly is now six months old and 10lbs but is beautiful and has come on well. I can’t believe how much my family has grown!
