Ted and Dulcie Chivers had four shops in Ware – this was No 10 which stood on the corner of Kibes Lane. It was formerly occupied by a Mr Smith who had a sweet shop. The next shop was Meadows shoe shop, then beyond that was The Red Lion pub.
