Renovation of St Leonard's Church Roof, 1937-38
In 1937, it was discovered that the timber in the roof was infested with woodworm.
The Rector, the Reverend Harry Oliver launched an appeal for funding the necessary work.
The appeal was well supported and there was enough money to carry out additional work.
